Getting to Brussels :
By bus, you can change at Schuman where you can catch the underground to go faster to the city center. By train, the best stop is central station. From there you can easily reach the city center by foot.
Taxis are quite expensive. If you choose this option consider taking an official taxi.
There are also flights going to ''Brussels South Charleroi Airport''. From there you can ask a ''bulk'' ticket to go to any station in Belgium for Eur 10.50: it allows you to take a bus to Charleroi station and then a train to Brussels.
For those coming from outside of Europe, it is sometimes easier (or cheaper) to reach Brussels by flying to Paris Charles de Gaulle (also called Paris Roissy) and taking a fast train (TGV) in the airport terminal to Brussels. You then arrive in Brussels South station, officially "Bruxelles Midi". Notice that Air France and KLM operate in this way. When flying with these companies, you can buy a flight ticket to Brussels, choosing Brussels Midi TGV Railway St (ZYR) as final destination, that already includes the train ticket from Paris.
Workshop Venue :
To reach the campus, the best way is to use the metro (line 5 direction Herrmann-Debroux) and get off at the station "Delta". You should count 20 minutes from the Gare centrale.
Then take the exit n° 2 and follow the direction VUB - ULB. You will have to cross the FORUM (see on the map of the campus) and follow the direction "N.O. physique - mathématiques". This will take you another ten minutes.
From the "Solbosch" to the campus "Plaine" :
From Solbosch to Plaine, you can take the bus 71 (direction Delta) for 2 stops or walk straight ahead for about 10 minutes along the Avenue de l'université.
If you come by car :
